Buba Barnabas Luka (born 21 September 1991) popularly known as Classiq is a Nigerian rapper, song writer and
producer who was born in Bauchi State, Nigeria.
ClassiQ started singing at the age of 16.
Classiq is a Computer science graduate of BUK. His unique style of rap has been gaining the attention of Hiphop heads all over the country.
Classiq is the first of three children from a Lecturer Father (Dr. of Geography) and a mother who is a nurse, ClassiQ’s early education started at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Staff Primary School Bauchi State in 1992 while he bagged a B.Sc in Computer from the prestigious Bayero University Kano in 2009.
He is known for his prolific punch lines and witty deliver, not to mention his crazy production skills. ClassiQ has performed alongside acts like M.I, Eldee, Wande Coal,
Shank, Davido, Duncan Mighty and many more.
He credits Asa, Naeto C, Don Jazzy, Fela, Kahli Abdu, J.Cole, Kanye West, Talib Kweli, Common, Wyclef, Dido and HHP as his biggest music influences.
He raps fluently in hausa, impecably in English and superbly in pidjin all of which he combines on his verses.
His Mixtape ‘sarki’ is seriously dope with hot tracks like ‘duniya’ ft Ruby, ‘duniya remix’ ft Jesse Jagz, ‘kakaraka’

He was featured by Vector on the remix of King Kong alongside Phyno, Reminisce and Uzi and many agree that his verse was the illest. He’s currently signed to Finesse entertainment.
